Mr. Kazumasa Iida is the General Manager of the Advanced Technology Policy Planning Office, Mitsubishi Motors. His chief role is to ascertain which vital technologies will be critical in ten years time and arrange the required resources for the development of those technologies. Such resources needs to be taken not only from Mitsubishi in-house expertise, but also from outside partners and technology leaders (e.g. university and other business partner). Mitsubishi believes "Power Electronics" to be an essential technical field while the treatment of environmental consciousness is a core element of remaining competitive in the industry and continuing to lead in the betterment of the world.

Mr. Iida joined Mitsubishi Motors in 1977 after his graduation from Kyoto University. He has been engaged in the development of the power-train system for over 30 years at Mitsubishi Motors.
